Baseball Game Preview: Chestatee War Eagles vs. White County Warriors

For the second straight game, Chestatee will face off against White County. The War Eagles will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chestatee hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Chestatee managed to slip by White County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The War Eagles lost 8-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday.

For White County's part, Alex Freeman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Freeman also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because White County is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Freeman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Cooper Garrett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Krilla, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Chestatee's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for White County, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
