Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Lincoln

The St. Mary's Rams will square off against the Lincoln Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

St. Mary's is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Kimball just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Rams couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Lincoln's and Lodi's match on Friday was close at halftime, but Lincoln turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Lincoln's defense stepped up to hand Lodi a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lodi with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lily Garcia, Mya Bryant, and Trinity Thompson.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1-1.
