Softball Recap: St. Ansgar Comes Up Short

St. Ansgar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Springs Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on June 2nd.

St. Ansgar's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Central Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Coincidentally, St. Ansgar and Central Springs will both be playing Northwood-Kensett the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
