After a string of 12 wins, Hebron Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines by a score of 5-4. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Gabby Raysor made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Leah Jensen, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hebron Christian's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 23-2. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron Christian will head out to take on Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Loganville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
