Preview: Burroughs Burros vs. Hesperia Scorpions
Burroughs has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Hesperia Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Burroughs strolled past Sultana with points to spare, taking the game 63-45. Given Burroughs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Sultana is ranked 822nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hesperia beat Serrano 38-28 on Friday. The victory was just what Hesperia needed coming off of a 65-42 loss in their prior contest.
Burroughs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Hesperia, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Burroughs strolled past Hesperia in their previous meeting on January 5th by a score of 57-40. Will Burroughs repeat their success, or does Hesperia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
