Baseball Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

Central Minnesota Christian hit Lakeview with a 12-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers came up short against the Bluejays, falling 17-1. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost five in a row.

Lakeview got a good showing from Carter Nilges, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Lakeview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Breyfogle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Breyfogle has snagged this season.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Central Minnesota Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
