 After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Kennedy brought some dynamite into their most recent  contest. They came out on top against the Jefferson Hawks by a score of  4-2  on Tuesday. The  win was just what Kennedy needed coming off of  a  4-0 defeat in their prior  game.
 They hit Jefferson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Anthony Walker (2), 
 Gaafar Osmanali,  and 
 Christian Maybanks.
 Kennedy's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-3. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Kennedy will play host again  in their first game  on Tuesday to welcome Iowa City, where kickoff is scheduled  at 7:00  p.m. As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Center Point-Urbana at 8:00  a.m.  in their first game  on Saturday.
