Softball Recap: Papillion-LaVista South Triumphs

Papillion-LaVista South won the last time they faced Lincoln Southeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Titans walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Hailey Rasmussen looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Maizey Macke was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Caydence Snyder was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Papillion-LaVista South hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.

Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Lincoln Southeast, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Looking ahead, Papillion-LaVista South will square off against Millard West at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lincoln Southeast, they have already played their next game, a 16-13 defeat against Lincoln Northeast on the 20th.
