Softball Recap: Clinch County's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clinch County strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Peach County Trojans by a score of 12-8.

Sophie Corbitt was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Makailey Cobb was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Clinch County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peach County only posted a batting average of .286.

Clinch County's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Peach County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinch County will challenge Charlton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peach County, they will venture away from home to face off against Dougherty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
