Football Game Preview: Dover-Eyota Eagles vs. Lourdes Eagles + How To Watch

Dover-Eyota will face off against Lourdes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Dover-Eyota 14.1, Lourdes 14) so any points scored will be well earned.

Dover-Eyota is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Red Wing 41-0. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Wingers are ranked 238th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dover-Eyota found their leader in sophomore Blake Nordine, who rushed for 82 yards and three TDs on only ten carries.

Dover-Eyota was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Lourdes owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 19-0 win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville. The Eagles have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

The victory got Dover-Eyota back to even at 4-4. As for Lourdes, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Dover-Eyota couldn't quite finish off Lourdes in their previous matchup back in September and fell 21-19. Can Dover-Eyota avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
