Softball Game Preview: Gordon Lee Trojans vs. LaFayette Ramblers

The Gordon Lee Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the LaFayette Ramblers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Gordon Lee sitting on 14 straight wins and LaFayette on 15.

LaFayette's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Gordon Lee hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Trojans never let Coosa get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, LaFayette got the win against Ridgeland on Monday by a conclusive 9-1. The Ramblers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 12th contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.

LaFayette's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Gordon Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.

Gordon Lee came up short against LaFayette in their previous matchup back in September, falling 6-3. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
