Baseball Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

Osceola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buchholz Bobcats.

Osceola had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Aiden Dyals and Brock Golden Dyals pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, while Golden tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Dyals a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Osceola's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Buchholz, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0.

Coming up, Osceola will welcome Palm Harbor University at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Palm Harbor University will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Osceola surely won't give up without a fight. As for Buchholz, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Buchholz Bobcats challenge Valdosta Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
