Softball Game Preview: Pensacola Tigers vs. Pensacola Catholic Crusaders

Pensacola hasn't had much luck against Pensacola Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Pensacola has given up an average of 16.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pensacola is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They lost 16-0 to Rocky Bayou Christian.

Pensacola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reigna Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Pensacola Catholic waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 23-12 win.

She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lela Laurence, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

Pensacola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Pensacola Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
