Soccer Recap: Mt. Pleasant Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Davenport North, Mt. Pleasant was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Mediapolis Bulldogs 3-2. While Mt. Pleasant didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mt. Pleasant has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Mediapolis, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will host Fort Madison at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mediapolis, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Davenport North on the 19th.
