With a playoff win on the line, Buhler rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Independence Bulldogs 55-25. Considering the Crusaders have won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Asher Zachary threw for 83 yards. Max Harmony was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Ben Clouse rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per carry.

Buhler's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Buhler will take on Wamego on Friday. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
