Basketball Recap: Sunny Hills Comes Up Short

Sunny Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Crean Lutheran Saints and fell 59-28. The match marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Sunny Hills still got an impressive performance from Allie Sexton, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rianna Jones, who scored seven points and six rebounds.

Crean Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Micaela Hanning earned 15 points and Sydnee Norwood had 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jane Hewitt, who put up eight points.

Sunny Hills' record now sits at 14-13. As for Crean Lutheran, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunny Hills has already played their next game (against Esperanza), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Crean Lutheran has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Canyon.
