Meanwhile, Westridge's contest on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Duarte a 3-0 shutout. Three seems to be a good number for Westridge as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Ramona Convent now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Westridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Ramona Convent suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Westridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ramona Convent was down 4-1.
