Softball Recap: Bridge Creek's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Bridge Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Norman Tigers on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Bridge Creek let Camden Greenan and Hailey Shinn run wild. Greenan went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Shinn went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Greenan a new career-high. Brynlee Rhodes also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Bridge Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Bridge Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Norman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Bridge Creek will take on Bethany at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Bronchos have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Norman, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Tuttle at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Tuttle's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Norman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
