The Lunenburg Blue Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Advanced Math & Science Academy will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Lunenburg extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Blue Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand Tyngsborough a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Knights have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brady Kelly was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Brett Richard was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Nate Henry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lunenburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Advanced Math & Science Academy came out on top against Tahanto Regional on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Eagles blew past the Stags 13-7. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Like Lunenburg, Advanced Math & Science Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Aiden Kuscher. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Kuscher was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Advanced Math & Science Academy got a massive performance out of John Hobin, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Chuck Hammel also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Lunenburg's record is now 14-3-1. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, their record now sits at 7-12.
