River Bluff won the last time they faced Porter-Gaud and things went their way on Saturday too. The Gators had just enough and edged out the Cyclones 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gators have posted since August 30th.

River Bluff found their leader in sophomore Kinley Webster, who had nine digs and three aces. Claire Chapman also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

River Bluff was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They served two more aces than Porter-Gaud's also-impressive total of 13.

River Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season. As for Porter-Gaud, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-16.

River Bluff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Greenville on the 11th. As for Porter-Gaud, they will square off against Wando at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
