Football Game Preview: Olathe West Owls vs. Olathe South Falcons + How To Watch

The Olathe West Owls will host the Olathe South Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olathe West will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Olathe West is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Shawnee Mission North as they made off with a 63-42 win. The Owls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Olathe West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Hale, who threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Hale a new career-high in passer rating (165.3). Josh Foland was in the mix as well, providing Olathe West with three TDs.

Olathe West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Olathe West's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Cash Warren refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Shawnee Mission North's side was Warren, who picked up three sacks and made 13 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Olathe South didn't have too much trouble with Blue Valley Northwest on Friday as they won 35-20.

Olathe West better keep an eye on Justus Sprague. He was instrumental in Olathe South's win, rushing for 50 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Olathe West's record is now 8-1. As for Olathe South, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Olathe West won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, slipping by Olathe South 24-23. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
