Basketball Recap: Venice Takes a Loss

After flying high against University last Wednesday, Venice came back down to earth. The match between the Venice Gondoliers and the Gahr Gladiators didn't end well, with the Venice Gondoliers falling 47-30. While losing is never fun, the Gondoliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Gladiators are ranked 344th).

Venice has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Gahr, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Venice will host Palisades at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Gahr has already played their next game (against Mayfair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
