McCool Junction took down Arcadia/Loup City on Thursday, a win that might not have happened without Carson McDonald's standout effort. The Rebels had no answer to McDonald as he rushed for 138 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns. McDonald is becoming a predictor of McCool Junction's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, McDonald and McCool Junction will take on Dundy County-Stratton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. McDonald has dominated as far as rushing touchdowns are concerned (he's averaged 2.2 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Tigers have only allowed 0.89 per game this season.
