Recap: Beaver Bobcats vs. Hopewell Vikings

While the Beaver Bobcats couldn't quite beat the Hopewell Vikings on Thursday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 28-point defeat they were dealt last Monday. Beaver fell just short of Hopewell by a score of 34-31. Beaver was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hopewell apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Beaver had strong showings from Annsley Baker, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Kylie Conley, who scored nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Beaver and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Hopewell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Beaver will be playing in front of their home fans against Quaker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Quaker Valley is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Hopewell, they will head out on the road to take on Blackhawk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Blackhawk is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
