Baseball Game Preview: Edwards County Lions vs. Flora Wolves

Edwards County and Flora are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Lions will challenge the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edwards County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Edwards County's offense. They fell 5-0 to Gibson Southern on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Flora didn't have quite enough to beat Altamont on Saturday and fell 7-5. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Flora now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Edwards County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Edwards County skirted past Flora 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
