Baseball Recap: Drew Charter Takes a Loss

Drew Charter came up short against the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs on Wednesday and fell 11-8. Drew Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joseph Richburg and Jacob Haynes did some serious damage despite the final result: Richburg went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Haynes scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Haynes has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Josiah Rich was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Drew Charter's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Kennesaw Mountain, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drew Charter will take on Druid Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they will face off against East Paulding at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
