Softball Recap: Treynor Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Treynor had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute. Considering the Cardinals have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Treynor pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-13.

Treynor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against West Monona on the 14th. Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
