Trinity Christian Academy won the last time they faced Lakewood Presbyterian, and Cenzie Pyeatt did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors blew past the Knights 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Pyeatt, who had 16 kills, five aces, and three digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last ten times she's played.
Trinity Christian Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-21.
Trinity Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MacKenna Wiltse, who had eight digs, five kills, two aces, and one block. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Merritt, who had nine digs and five kills.
Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian still got an impressive performance from Kinson Zoeh, who had eight digs, seven kills, five aces, and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Sarah Parrott, who had five aces and four digs.
Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Joshua Christian on the 18th. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they will head out on the road to face off against Dallas Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
