Softball Recap: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Stephens County Indians

After flying high against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy on Tuesday, Rabun County came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Stephens County Indians on Wednesday, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 last Monday.

River Evans and Chloe Shirley did some serious damage despite the final result: Evans went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Shirley went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Rabun County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Stephens County, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Coming up, Rabun County will head out to take on Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stephens County, they will challenge Franklin County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
