This season hasn't been kind to the Halifax Wildcats, who are still winless after their eighth game. They lost to Line Mountain on the road by a decisive 40-22 margin on Thursday. Halifax has struggled against Line Mountain recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Halifax still got an impressive performance from Ava Savage, who scored nine points along with 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Savage has scored all season.

That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.1 points per game. As for Line Mountain, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
