Softball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Palmer Ridge

Arapahoe faced Palmer Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Loralei McNulty made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Arapahoe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Palmer Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Arapahoe will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Castle View at 3:30 p.m. The Sabercats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.5 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palmer Ridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Discovery Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season.
