Luverne will look to defend their home turf on Friday against St. James at 7:00 PM. Luverne are limping into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

We expected Luverne to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Pipestone last Friday, and they did. Luverne have to be aching after a bruising 12-33 defeat to Pipestone.

Meanwhile, St. James found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-21 punch to the gut against Redwood Valley. This makes it the second loss in a row for St. James.

Luverne took their match against St. James the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 40-12 score. Will Luverne repeat their success, or does St. James have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
