The Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 74-35 win over Ygnacio Valley. That's another feather in the cap for Clayton Valley Charter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Anjanette Taguinod was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ella Scott, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds.
Ygnacio Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Ygnacio Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Clayton Valley Charter racked up 17 assists.
Clayton Valley Charter's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Ygnacio Valley, they bumped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
