Basketball Preview: Madison Warhawks vs. Valley Center Jaguars

After two games on the road, Madison is heading back home. They will take on the Valley Center Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison will be strutting in after a victory while the Jaguars will be coming in after a defeat.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Madison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 53-47 victory over Valhalla.

Amyaha Walker was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Madison's points. Another player making a difference was Sierra Minshew, who scored six points along with 19 rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Valley Center was beaten by the Warriors 59-20 on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Valley Center has scored all season.

Madison has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Valley Center, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Madison ended up a good deal behind the Jaguars in their previous matchup back in December of 2015, losing 36-22. Will Madison have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
