Softball Recap: Audubon Comes Up Short

Audubon has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.72 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Shenandoah Mustangs, falling 11-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wheelers have suffered since June 9th.

Audubon's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Shenandoah, they pushed their record up to 7-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Audubon will take on Underwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wheelers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Shenandoah, they will square off against Harlan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cyclones have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.53 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
