Basketball Recap: Buena Park Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Buena Park had won five straight home games and Gloria Barrera did her part to make it six on Monday. The Buena Park Coyotes claimed a resounding 89-26 win over the Northwood Timberwolves thanks in part to Barrera, who went 17 for 20 on her way to 37 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Her evening made it 22 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Mya Barnes, who went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.

Buena Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Northwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-21.

Buena Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwood, they will challenge Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwood is facing Capistrano Valley at the right time seeing as Capistrano Valley is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
