Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Newton's Winning Streak

Newton and McEachern squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Newton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 4-2. The Rams were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Indians' pitchers proved too tough.

Newton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayce Yearwood, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.
