Kennedy waltzed into their game on Thursday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They breezed past the Van Nuys Wolves to the tune of 65-34. The Cougars pushed the score to 52-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves had little chance of recovering from.

Kennedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andreya Villa led the charge by dropping a double-double with ten points and 16 boards. What's more, Villa also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katherine Franco, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Van Nuys, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van Nuys, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Panorama at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Panorama has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
