Recap: Rock Academy Warriors vs. Tri-City Christian Eagles
The Rock Academy Warriors's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 36-31 win over Tri-City Christian. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to post nine more assists than your opponent, as Rock Academy did.
Rock Academy was led to victory by Adeline Hooper and Rose Riley. Hooper scored ten points, while Riley scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Tri-City Christian still got an impressive performance from Katie Busch, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 23 rebounds. Busch has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.
Tri-City Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Rock Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Tri-City Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Santa Fe Christian the next time they take the court. Tri-City Christian will host Santa Fe Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Rock Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
