Basketball Recap: Trinity Drops Season-High Score on Clear Lake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They blew past the Clear Lake Cardinals 65-28 on Thursday. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Cox, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. That's the most points Cox has posted since back in February of 2024. Elsie Storckman was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Trinity smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Clear Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 35-29 win against Fortuna on the 3rd. As for Clear Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-35 loss against Windsor on the 3rd.
