Recap: Oxford Academy Patriots vs. Artesia Pioneers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitney, the Oxford Academy Patriots were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They blew past Artesia 63-32 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Oxford Academy has posted since December 4, 2023.
Oxford Academy can attribute much of their success to Leah Lee, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Sato, who scored six points along with five steals.
Oxford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Artesia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cerritos the next time they take the court. Oxford Academy will head out to face Cerritos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Artesia will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
