Recap: Oroville Tigers vs. Orland Trojans
The Oroville Tigers struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Orland Trojans had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Oroville fell to Orland 51-46. Oroville has not had much luck with Orland recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Oroville still got an impressive performance from Lili Kelemen, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Kelemen continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Leila Jackson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Angie Bernal, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bernal has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lillianna Rowe, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Oroville's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Orland, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.
Oroville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orland, they will head out on the road to square off against Corning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orland is facing Corning at the right time seeing as Corning is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
