Football Recap: Daniel Amaro's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Las Cruces over Cleveland + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Las Cruces couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cleveland Storm on Saturday. The matchup marked the Bulldawgs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Bulldawgs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Amaro, who rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns. Amaro is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Francisco Winnikoff was another key pass catcher, picking up 137 receiving yards and one TD.

Cleveland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Hatch, who picked up six receiving yards and one score, and also threw for 88 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. What's more, Hatch racked up 21 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September.

Having lost for the first time this season, Las Cruces fell to 12-1. As for Cleveland, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

As of now, neither Las Cruces nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
