Rockmart had won five straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 15-4 to make it six. They never let the North Murray Mountaineers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Yellowjackets not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27th (when they won 17-4).

As for North Murray, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For North Murray's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Beavers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Rockmart is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Murray will face off against rival Coahulla Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
