Soccer Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

Scripps Ranch and Rancho Bernardo squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Scripps Ranch had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Rancho Bernardo Broncos. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Falcons couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Katie Ellermeyer, who's now up to 12 this season.

Scripps Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Rancho Bernardo, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Scripps Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rancho Bernardo, it'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Rancho Bernardo take on the San Dieguito Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Dieguito Academy will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Rancho Bernardo surely won't give up without a fight.
