Basketball Game Preview: Farmersville Aztecs vs. Corcoran Panthers

Farmersville is 2-8 against Corcoran since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Farmersville Aztecs will head out to take on the Corcoran Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Farmersville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-25 win over Dos Palos. Winning may never get old, but the Aztecs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Corcoran). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Trona 88-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Corcoran's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Farmersville, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Farmersville came up short against Corcoran in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 41-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Corcoran's Natalie Luna, who posted 14 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
