Salinas extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Alice Uchida. The Salinas Cowboys walked away with a 41-34 victory over the Watsonville Wildcatz on Monday thanks in part to Uchida, who posted 23 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Watsonville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Stephanie Martinez, who had ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Fernanda Lazo, who scored eight points.

Salinas' win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. As for Watsonville, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 16-5.

Salinas has already played their next matchup, a 51-30 victory against Alisal on the 5th. As for Watsonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-36 win against Soledad on the 7th.
