Softball Game Preview: Northwest Whitfield Bruins vs. Dade County Wolverines + Official Tickets

The Northwest Whitfield Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Dade County Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Northwest Whitfield took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Ringgold, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins skirted past the Tigers 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Dade County hadn't done well against Gordon Lee recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolverines came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 2-1. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Trojans on their field since September 27, 2021.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Dade County, their win bumped their record up to 24-4.

Northwest Whitfield came up short against Dade County in their previous meeting back in August, falling 7-2. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
