Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. Tustin

The Kennedy Fighting Irish will head out on the road to square off against the Tustin Tillers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Kennedy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Segerstrom 4-0. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tustin hasn't lost a match since December 21, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They came out on top against Buena Park by a score of 3-1. Given the Tillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Coyotes are ranked 917th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kaia Tindukasiri and Emma Mendel scored all three of Tustin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 13-2-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Tustin, their record now sits at 7-5-4.

Kennedy beat Tustin by a goal in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 3-2. Will Kennedy repeat their success, or does Tustin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
