Volleyball Recap: Wake Forest Cougars vs. Franklinton Red Rams
After flying high against Knightdale last Thursday, Wake Forest came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Franklinton Red Rams by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Rams earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Wake Forest wouldn't go down easily and took Franklinton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 18-25, 18-25, 15-13.
Franklinton found their leader in freshman Delaney Boylan, who had 28 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Gabbi Salati, who had 15 digs.
